Celebrating Family Home
Everybody's Welcome
Home

Everybody's Welcome was launched in 2006 and is the first of a three phase initiative to support marriage and family life within the Catholic community of England and Wales called Celebrating Family: Blessed, Broken, Living Love.  The Catholic Bishops of England and Wales identified the three priorities of Celebrating Family after listening to families' expressed needs during Listening 2004. Click on the Celebrating Family logo above to learn more about the overall initiative and the two subsequent areas of work: Home is a Holy Place and Passing on the Faith.

The aim of Everyone's Welcome is to support parish communities in becoming more friendly, more family-sensitive, and more welcoming of all, because these simple yet challenging qualities of parish life are absolutely crucial to Christian community life, especially for families who are the primary evangelising force in the Church.

Pastors, parish groups, organisations, families and individuals are invited to use any of the resources on this Everybody's Welcome website, to adapt them to local situations and to share their experiences. The first priority is to ensure everybody feels welcome, the second to ensure that parish practices, services and ministries are sensitive to the lives of all parish families, the third to foster the development of friendships between parish families.
